Role Overview
This position is for a Management Trainee in Finance & Accounts, intended for a motivated CA fresher. The role supports accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, audit coordination, and MIS reporting within a fast-moving EV manufacturing environment. Active involvement in audit work is a core expectation.
Key Responsibilities
The trainee will help maintain accounting accuracy, support compliance activities, and contribute to finance operations and reporting.
Accounting and Finance
- Record accounting entries and review ledgers and reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Contribute to monthly and annual financial closing work
- Prepare MIS dashboards and analytical reports for management
Compliance and Audit
- Coordinate and support internal as well as statutory audit work
- Help resolve audit queries and meet deadlines for audit completion
- Keep financial records organized, complete, and ready for audits
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance tasks
- Work in line with accounting standards and internal company policies
Reporting and Process Improvement
- Support budgeting and forecasting exercises
- Assist in finance process improvements and automation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related needs
- Support finance operations in ERP and SAP environments
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI with audit exposure during articleship. A strong grasp of accounting concepts, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and spreadsheet tools is expected. The role also calls for good communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced setup.
Preferred Background
- Exposure to manufacturing or automotive businesses during articleship
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP platforms
- Interest in the EV industry and startup culture
