The company integrates premium indoor environments, meaningful content context, and technology to create engaging advertising experiences. The engineering and MLOps divisions develop and scale FRAMEN's product infrastructure. To enhance this team, FRAMEN seeks a freelance expert with profound mathematical and theoretical knowledge in machine learning. The consultant will concentrate on the conceptual and mathematical underpinnings of the models, while the engineering team handles implementation, deployment, and infrastructure. This opportunity is for three months initially, with about 20 hours weekly, and may be extended based on project needs and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise the mathematical frameworks and optimization techniques that form the foundation of machine learning models, providing the engineering team with conceptual designs for implementation.
- Evaluate in-development models to identify any theoretical or structural issues and suggest enhancements.
- Conduct onsite collaborative workshops to simplify complex algorithmic theories into precise, executable logic for engineers.
- Stay up to date with AI research advancements, scrutinize their mathematical bases, and recommend integration strategies to improve products.
Candidate Profile
- Strong theoretical background in machine learning, preferably holding an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Extensive expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and optimization methods.
- Exceptional ability to clearly explain intricate mathematical concepts to engineers and technical peers.
- Proficient in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, PyTorch, and JAX, for prototyping and idea sharing.
- Team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for collaborative problem-solving during onsite sessions.
- Willingness to work from FRAMEN’s Berlin headquarters to facilitate project delivery and coordination.
Benefits
- Monthly remuneration of €4,166 for approximately 20 consultancy hours per week.
- Join a well-capitalized and ambitious startup with a motivated, rapidly expanding team dedicated to positioning FRAMEN as the leading innovator in out-of-home advertising.
- Experience a culture grounded in trust, granting autonomy and accountability from the beginning.
