Low Rise Cleaning Operative

Role overview

Salix Homes is seeking a dependable Cleaning Services Operative to support residents in low-rise homes and sheltered schemes. The role focuses on keeping shared internal areas clean and well maintained, with a strong emphasis on service quality and attention to detail.

This is a Monday-to-Friday position, working 8:30am to 4:30pm. A full UK driving licence is essential for the role.

Key duties

• Carry out daily cleaning across multiple sheltered schemes.
• Clean several low-rise blocks on a weekly basis.
• Complete routine tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, wiping sills, cleaning windows, handrails, dusting, and tidying bin rooms.
• Use a mobile app to log daily work activity and record health and safety checks.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will bring previous experience and practical knowledge of cleaning and caretaking methods, alongside a genuine commitment to high service standards. You should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in changing weather, able to manage a varied workload, and motivated to complete tasks thoroughly and efficiently.

The team is looking for ambitious, driven individuals with a strong track record in cleaning services, who can contribute positively to the Environmental Services Team.
