Company Overview
The role is based at Mövenpick Hotel Doha, a contemporary 4-star luxury property in Doha designed for business travelers. The hotel is conveniently located on Corniche Road, around 11 km from Hamad International Airport and close to the business district, directly facing the Museum of Islamic Arts.
Role Summary
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for keeping guest rooms clean, orderly, and fully supplied while maintaining the hotel’s brand and hygiene standards. The position also involves supporting guest comfort, safeguarding property, and coordinating with supervisors and security when needed.
Key Duties
- Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including dusting, bed making, removing soiled linen, collecting fresh linen, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, washing interior windows, and restocking room supplies according to brand expectations.
- Use the “cleaning in progress” sign correctly and keep room doors shut while housekeeping work is being carried out.
- Contact room service to have trays and trolleys cleared from rooms.
- Handle cleaning materials and equipment carefully and use them efficiently.
- Prepare accurate room status updates at the end of the shift.
- Keep linen storage areas, supply cupboards, and landings neat and organized.
- Empty vacuum cleaners before they become too full.
- Escalate issues or uncertainties to the supervisor responsible for the floor.
- Support guests and coworkers politely and professionally.
- Be prepared to lift, carry, or pull items that may be heavy.
- Immediately hand over any lost and found items to security.
- Notify the team about rooms that should not be serviced, including DND rooms or rooms that have not been occupied, on the assigned floor.
- Inform the Floor Housekeeper about any mattress protectors, blankets, bedspreads, or valances that need replacement.
- Report any suspicious activity or individuals to the housekeeping office or security team.
- Raise concerns about any health and safety risks without delay.
- Maintain a high standard of grooming and wear the uniform properly.
- Report any faulty equipment.
- Follow all department policies and procedures carefully.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned.
