About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Light Truck Driver to operate a Tata Ace delivery vehicle and support our warehouse and logistics team. The driver will ensure secure and timely transportation of goods, maintain vehicle condition, and assist in warehouse operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the Tata Ace for delivering and collecting materials.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods carefully alongside warehouse personnel.
- Verify materials against delivery documents like invoices and challans before departure.
- Ensure deliveries reach the correct recipients and obtain proofs of delivery.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled timelines.
- Collect payments or documents from customers as directed, submitting them to relevant personnel.
- Protect goods from damage or loss during transit.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in proper working order.
- Regularly inspect fuel, engine oil, tires, brakes, and other vital vehicle parts.
- Promptly report any vehicle repairs, accidents, or delivery interruptions to management.
- Maintain daily logs of distance traveled, fuel usage, deliveries made, and vehicle expenses.
- Comply with all traffic regulations and company safety policies.
- Support warehouse activities, including packing and stock handling, during downtime without deliveries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Possession of a valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license.
- Preferably 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial driving.
- Good knowledge of local roads and delivery routes.
- Ability to interpret basic invoices and delivery challans.
- Physically capable and willing to assist with loading/unloading tasks.
- Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Honest, punctual, disciplined, and responsible individual.
