Life Guard

Position Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers by utilizing appropriate rescue techniques and monitoring the swimming area for hazardous conditions or swimmers in distress. This role includes enforcing recreational facility rules, identifying unsafe situations, and promptly reporting concerns to supervisors. Assistance to injured guests must be provided until emergency medical services arrive. Additional duties include maintaining a clean pool deck, managing towels, and fostering a pleasant and safe environment for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and use rescue methods to assist those in need.
• Observe the pool area to identify and report dangerous or unusual circumstances.
• Enforce facility rules and inform management of any unsafe participation scenarios.
• Provide first aid and support injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck by washing, mopping, and organizing towels following company protocols.
• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and injuries to the manager immediately.
• Complete all required safety training and maintain necessary certifications.
• Welcome guests warmly, ensure a professional appearance, and anticipate guest service needs.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with guests and coworkers.
• Support coworkers while upholding dignity and respect within the workplace.
• Perform physical tasks including walking, running, lifting objects up to 50 pounds unaided and heavier items with assistance, navigating uneven surfaces, and handling equipment safely.
• Carry out any other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• No prior work or supervisory experience necessary.
• Possession of valid CPR and First Aid certifications is mandatory.
• Certifications or training required by local and state authorities must be obtained.

Additional Information

This position is non-management and based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 3243 Al Salam Street. It is a full-time role with no remote work option.
