Job description

Position Overview

Teacheroo is seeking a dedicated Librarian to work full-time at Chantry Academy in Ipswich. This permanent role involves contributing to a vibrant learning community by managing the library as a welcoming and efficient resource hub for pupils and staff. The position entails overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library, encouraging positive student engagement, and maintaining high standards of organization and resource access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily library operations, assisting pupils and staff in accessing educational materials and services.
  • Monitor student activity within the library, ensuring a supportive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Handle administrative duties related to library technology and system upkeep, maintaining precise records.
  • Assist with the promotion, arrangement, and maintenance of books and other learning resources.
  • Offer guidance to library users by resolving common queries and facilitating effective use of resources.

Additional Information

This role offers a 37-hour work week over 39 weeks annually. The salary band is ALT Grade C, ranging from £22,106.64 to £22,277.90 per annum actual.
