Key Responsibilities

  • Offer legal support in structuring, evaluating, and managing partnerships with universities, multinational corporations, and strategic partners, while addressing commercial and regulatory considerations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, especially sector-specific regulations, and keep abreast of regulatory developments impacting the business and academic operations.
  • Identify, assess, and manage legal and contractual risks, recommending preventive measures and supporting dispute avoidance and resolution.
  • Develop, review, and update internal policies related to legal matters, compliance, and governance to maintain consistent and robust institutional practices.
  • Conduct audits to ensure legal and regulatory adherence and assist in external audits by providing relevant documentation.
  • Manage pre-litigation matters, consumer complaints, grievances, and internal disputes, working with external counsel on litigation and settlements.

  • Create and maintain legal playbooks, templates, checklists, and streamline legal operations for efficiency.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance policies and regulatory changes, fostering organizational adherence to legal standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a respected institution.
  • Between 5 to 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally within a corporate setup.
  • Qualification as a Company Secretary (CS) is advantageous.
  • Expertise in contract drafting and negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulatory and compliance frameworks, especially related to education or ed-tech sectors.
