Role Overview
We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Corporate team based in Sydney. This is a part-time role, two days per week, for a six-month contract. The successful candidate will support two partners and a team of lawyers, enhancing productivity and quality in a fast-moving setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance including managing diaries and inboxes, scheduling meetings, processing expenses, and preparing, printing, and scanning documents.
- Oversee file management tasks such as opening and closing files, preparing cost letters, updating client information in the CRM system, and managing electronic archiving.
- Prepare court-related documents by assisting in drafting briefs and accurately lodging court and tribunal documents.
- Handle billing and reporting duties encompassing time tracking and issuing comprehensive monthly invoices.
- Serve as the main liaison with clients and team members, maintaining clear and confident communication.
Candidate Profile
- Self-driven and adaptable, able to work independently with minimal oversight and maintain accountability in a dynamic workplace.
- Possess strong technical skills particularly with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Aderant Expert software is advantageous.
- Detail-focused, consistently delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication abilities, able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
