Role Summary
This position is for a senior firmware specialist who will guide development for microcontroller-driven controllers used in programmable AC/DC power systems. The role combines hands-on embedded coding with planning, coordination, testing, and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Own firmware development for microcontroller-based controllers used in programmable AC/DC power equipment.
- Study product requirements, prepare design documents, write embedded code, and carry out firmware validation.
- Prepare and maintain firmware delivery plans, including project milestones and weekly status reporting.
- Work closely with hardware and software teams to align development efforts and integrate the product successfully.
- Use lab instruments and debugging methods to troubleshoot issues and confirm that the firmware performs to specification.
Required Experience and Skills
- 5 to 10 years of experience building embedded firmware for processors and microcontrollers.
- Strong development capability in Embedded C and Embedded C++ with adherence to real-time coding standards.
- Good grasp of microcontroller design, interrupt handling, and timing concepts.
- Practical experience with SPI and UART communication in embedded controller environments.
- Experience in firmware implementation and verification, including interpreting datasheets, schematics, and debug outputs.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Linux in embedded development settings.
- Experience with RTOS-based task scheduling and integration in real-time systems.
Education
Any graduate may apply; preference is given to candidates from Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering backgrounds.
