Role overview
This position supports day-to-day operations at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. The role focuses on completing general labor tasks in a safe, organized, and efficient manner, along with light vehicle, equipment, yard, and office support.
Key duties
- Keep work areas tidy and free of debris.
- Refuel vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Clean tracks on tracked machinery and related equipment.
- Carry out yard maintenance such as mowing and picking up paper and litter.
- Operate basic site vehicles and equipment, including water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming tools.
- Handle minor office upkeep and repair tasks, including painting and janitorial work.
- Set up temporary wind fences when required.
- Help direct traffic on site whenever necessary.
- Complete other work-related assignments as directed.
Pay and schedule
The wage for this position is $18 per hour. The shift is first shift, running from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
