Lab Assistant

About the Role

Kanha Nature Oils seeks a committed and meticulous Lab Assistant to join our Quality Control laboratory team. The role involves supporting routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods, managing laboratory records, and ensuring all activities adhere to established quality and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing on raw, in-process, and final products using various analytical methods.
• Prepare samples appropriately for physical and chemical examination.
• Accurately maintain detailed laboratory documentation including test reports and records.
• Regularly clean, calibrate, and service laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety measures strictly.
• Assist Quality Control and R&D departments in product development tasks and quality assessments.
• Track inventory of laboratory chemicals, glassware, and supplies, and communicate reorder needs promptly.
• Support stability testing, sample collection, and thorough documentation.
• Ensure the laboratory workspace is kept clean and well-organized consistently.
• Perform titration tests and additional lab tasks as assigned by Laboratory Manager or QC Head.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of relevant laboratory experience.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and analytical testing methods.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and adherence to GLP principles.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping abilities.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
• Capability to function effectively in a manufacturing environment and manage multitasking.
