About the role

The youth hostel in Bilstein is set in a historic castle complex and offers a lively environment for a wide mix of guests, including families, school classes, music groups, and participants in holiday activities. With 204 beds and around 23,000 overnight stays per year, the house is supported by a team of 22 employees who help create memorable stays in a special location with many sports and excursion options.

What you will do

• Prepare fresh meals for different guest groups.
• Take allergies and individual dietary needs into account when cooking.
• Work independently while following HACCP hygiene and food safety standards.
• Carry out recipes and maintain the required quality standards.
• Help shape and improve the food offering.

What we are looking for

• Completed training as a cook or relevant comparable practical experience.
• Enjoyment in teamwork and in making guests feel welcome and satisfied.
• Strong sense of responsibility and a well-organized working style.
• Confident handling of hygiene rules and allergen management.
• Interest in a meaningful and lively workplace.
