Role Overview

We seek a Junior Specification Manager passionate about ensuring product quality, regulatory adherence, and fostering innovation from conception through market introduction. This temporary 12-month position involves collaborating within an international network and cross-functional teams to guarantee that our products adhere to superior quality, nutritional, and sustainability benchmarks.

Employment Details

• Fixed-term contract for 12 months
• Gross annual salary ranging between €50,000 and €55,000 for full-time employment
• 38-hour work week with flexible scheduling
• Remote work allowance up to 10 home office days monthly

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in innovation and product renovation projects from initial concept to launch within cross-functional teams
• Develop, manage, and update specifications for finished goods and raw materials
• Deliver accurate, timely specifications in German and English tailored to local and global markets
• Support product registration and launch initiatives
• Coordinate with Marketing on artwork evaluations, product claims, and consumer messaging
• Ensure conformity with quality, nutritional, regulatory, and sustainability standards
• Maintain product data using SAP and specification management software
• Engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and specification teams across the Hero Group
• Drive continuous process improvements and harmonization of specification management globally

Candidate Profile

• Academic degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Food Chemistry, Quality Management, or related disciplines
• Entry-level professional experience within the food industry in roles such as quality management, regulatory affairs, or specification oversight
• Foundational knowledge of food laws, nutrition, and quality standards
• Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities with aptitude for handling multiple tasks
• Proactive, solution-focused, and collaborative approach
• Competent in project management and stakeholder coordination
• Fluent communication skills in German and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP and specification management IT tools is advantageous
