Description de l'emploi
About MAC Energy
MAC is introducing a clean-energy beverage built around goBHB ketones and a smooth taste, designed to deliver energy without the usual crash. The brand is supported by Conor McGregor and a group of fighters, streamers, and creators. Its launch is set for this summer across retail in Southern California, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
The company operates with a creator-first mindset, producing content the way creators do in order to build a highly visible brand in the energy category. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join at an early stage.
Role overview
The Social Media Manager will handle MAC’s channels on a day-to-day basis. The role includes managing posting, formatting, captions, direct messages, and comment moderation across TikTok, Meta, and YouTube. You will continually source content from talent, creators, and the community, while also creating brand-led content proactively.
You will work closely with the Content Director, who handles shooting and editing, as well as with the creator agency. The team works in a creator-style format: cut-downs, replies, comment engagement, and always-on publishing. You will be the brand voice in the comments, and you will also build and maintain the content schedule.
In addition, you will spend time in the community at gyms, retail locations, events, and fight week activations, where you will build real relationships and help grow a strong community around the brand. Because this is a small team, the role involves broad ownership and a high level of responsibility across social media.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily content calendar and publish across TikTok, Meta, and YouTube in a way that fits each platform.
- Create hooks, captions, and copy that reflect MAC’s brand voice.
- Take ownership of inbound engagement, including comments, DMs, and other community channels, while responding quickly and nurturing the audience around every launch.
- Participate in community activity and turn live moments into content and relationships.
- Partner closely with creators by briefing them, sharing ideas, and keeping them active.
- React quickly to trends, memes, and fight-week moments, including evenings and weekends when major events call for it.
- Support the content pipeline by identifying strong moments to clip and sending them promptly to the Content Director and agency.
- Monitor performance signals such as non-follower reach, saves, shares, and watch time, and use those insights to guide future posts rather than focusing on follower count alone.
- Coordinate with the digital marketing team across Meta, TikTok, email, SMS, and TikTok Shop so organic, paid, and retail efforts stay aligned.
- Edit and clip content whenever a moment needs to be captured immediately.
Candidate profile
You should be a social-native operator who spends significant time on TikTok, Meta, and YouTube and understands what performs on each platform. The ideal candidate has 1 to 5 years of experience managing brand or creator social channels, preferably from the creator space rather than a traditional brand environment.
You will need strong writing ability with a natural instinct for hooks, comment tone, and cultural relevance. Familiarity with fight culture, gym culture, and streamer communities is important, as the brand is built for that audience.
The role suits someone who moves quickly, stays reactive, and is comfortable posting around fight nights and jumping on opportunities as they happen. You should be someone who takes ownership, can manage multiple responsibilities without close supervision, and is comfortable using performance data to improve results. Immediate availability is expected.
Ideal background
- Experience managing social for an athlete, creator, or culture-led brand.
- Examples of posts or accounts that gained strong traction, ideally with work you can present.
- Comfort using TikTok Shop, Discord, and community management tools.
- Background in beverages, CPG, combat sports, or the streamer ecosystem.
Job details
This is a 90-day contract role with full-time hours, and the expectation is that it may transition into a full-time position. The role is based in Los Angeles, and the start date is immediate. You will report to the CMO and work closely with the Content Director.
Application note
Applicants should share a few examples of social accounts or campaigns they have managed end to end, highlight the work they are most proud of, and include a short note explaining why they are interested in MAC.
