Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our expanding Development team. This role offers collaboration in a small, agile team and interaction with colleagues worldwide. You will test new features, enhancements, and fixes within the Allego platform and affiliated products. Engaged throughout the Agile development lifecycle, you will have an opportunity to impact the team's success by ensuring high-quality releases.
Key Requirements
- At least one year of QA experience, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Skilled in creating and managing test artifacts including test cases, cycles, and test data.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient using Jira, Test Management Systems, and Google Workspace.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications is preferred.
- Understanding of SaaS security best practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Familiarity or experience with automation tools (Jenkins, WebdriverIO, BrowserStack) beneficial but not critical.
- Motivated to propose enhancements that improve test effectiveness.
- ISTQB Foundation certification is optional; support for achieving this is provided.
Education
A bachelor's degree in computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dispersed Engineering team working on web, server, integration, and native mobile applications.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop comprehensive, well-structured test cases that ensure thorough coverage of product specifications.
- Create and maintain manual testing artifacts to support automation efforts.
- Report quality issues clearly and follow up with Development and Product teams until resolution.
- Validate quality aspects across browsers, non-functional and accessibility standards.
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure ongoing product reliability.
- Support additional testing-related tasks as delegated by QA leadership.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is £30,000 to £36,000 per year.
