About the Role
TKMS is seeking a Junior Kalkulator to independently calculate partial services as part of overall cost estimations for projects in the marine industry. The role involves adapting to workload fluctuations in offer projects and assisting the lead cost calculator. You will contribute to the conceptual and interdisciplinary advancement and digitalization of calculation processes, including exploring the integration of AI tools for optimization. Developing calculation models to evaluate emerging technologies and products in line with TKMS's technology strategy is a key responsibility. Additionally, you will provide innovative input for establishing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing a centralized data platform for cross-sectional calculation topics in coordination with various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform cost calculations for partial components within total project calculations.
- Adapt flexibly to workload peaks in bid projects and support the responsible cost calculator.
- Participate in the conceptual development and digital transformation of calculation processes, including AI application to optimize procedures and support AI tool development.
- Create calculation models for assessing new technologies and products aligned with company strategy.
- Contribute ideas for building and improving a central data platform for calculation-related themes, collaborating closely with business units.
Candidate Profile
- Completed degree in a technical or economic field, preferably mechanical or plant engineering, shipbuilding, industrial engineering, or mathematical economics.
- Initial experience in cost calculation of complex machinery and plant products, with excellent commercial and calculation insight.
- Preferably experience in strategically advancing and implementing calculation processes and methods, strong digital skills, and enthusiasm for innovative technologies.
- Highly collaborative, capable of cross-departmental cooperation, and motivated to achieve collective objectives effectively.
- Proficient in German and English languages.
