Role overview
As part of EFOR’s international growth, especially across Asia, the company is looking to strengthen its IT presence in Singapore with a Junior IT Engineer under the V.I.E programme. Working within the Group IT team, you will help keep IT services running smoothly for the Asia region while also contributing to major international initiatives covering digital tools, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity.
This role offers a strong opportunity to build technical expertise in an international, multicultural, and fast-growing environment.
Local IT support
- Provide first- and second-line support to users for workstations, collaboration tools, and business applications.
- Handle incidents and requests through the Group’s ticketing platform.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including Windows and MacOS devices when needed.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
- Support the upkeep of local network infrastructure such as WiFi, VPN, and connectivity.
- Track the IT asset inventory and follow equipment lifecycle activities.
Regional IT coordination - Asia
- Act as the local IT contact for teams based in Asia.
- Work closely with Group IT teams, mainly located in Europe.
- Adapt IT solutions to local requirements such as regulations, language, and time zone differences.
- Help align and standardize IT practices across the region.
Group IT projects
- Support the rollout of Group tools and solutions such as Workday, Microsoft 365, and business applications.
- Take part in infrastructure initiatives and cloud transformation projects.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of ITIL-based processes.
- Contribute to cybersecurity efforts including awareness, compliance, and audits.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and the IT knowledge base.
Continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve support workflows and user experience.
- Propose and implement solutions for recurring issues.
- Monitor performance indicators such as SLAs and user satisfaction.
- Help evolve IT tools, including ticketing, automation, and scripting.
Profile and eligibility
This opportunity is open to candidates eligible for the Business France V.I.E scheme. A French integration period at the Group IT team in France is planned before departure to Singapore, and ongoing support will be provided by the international IT teams.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency at C1 level is essential for this international setting.
- A Master’s degree or equivalent Bac+5 qualification in IT, information systems, or engineering is required.
- Initial experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure is expected; internships and work-study assignments are acceptable.
- Good practical knowledge of the Microsoft environment, including Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPN, and WiFi.
- Solid awareness of ITIL practices, especially incident, request, and change management.
- PowerShell or similar scripting knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong service mindset and user focus are important.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote international teams.
- Comfort in a multicultural environment and adaptability are key.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn are expected.
