Position Details
- Department: YMFCA
- Location: 480 Gordon Baker Road, North York, Ontario, Canada
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of onsite and remote)
- Status: Contract for 1 year
- Reporting To: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders locally and globally to prepare and update budgets and rolling forecasts; analyze monthly variances and communicate opportunities and risks to business owners.
- Support monthly financial closing by performing detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, preparing reports for senior leadership including the President and YMFC.
- Assist with asset-liability management activities including funding, planning, and reporting in coordination with YMFC treasury as well as preparing banking documentation.
- Contribute to ROI evaluations and financial analysis supporting new product launches and enhancements in conjunction with functional areas and sales teams.
- Work with the product and pricing teams to ensure pricing models and assumptions align with targeted business returns.
- Maintain and update financial systems by loading balance sheets, profit and loss statements into SAP, and managing capital expenditure plans.
- Continuously refine budgeting, profitability, pricing, reporting, and analytical models to support ad hoc requests.
- Partner with accounting teams during internal and external audits to ensure compliance and deliver required documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of a business-oriented degree such as BBA or BCOM, preferably with study focus in business or accounting.
- 1-2 years professional background in finance, accounting, or public accounting departments.
- CPA designation either achieved or in progress is required.
- Previous experience in financial services or captive finance sectors is considered an asset.

- Proficient report writing and comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges between $60,000 and $65,000 CAD, with the exact compensation dependent on individual skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
