About the Company
This opportunity is with a fast-expanding manufacturing and processing business in Dubai. The finance team is seeking a junior accountant who is highly organized, meticulous, and comfortable working with numbers. This role is well-suited to someone looking to build a strong base in corporate finance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial activity accurately and keep ledgers updated, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Review and process local purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices in line with existing contracts.
- Match material details, unit rates, and processing costs such as cut-and-bend charges to ensure billing is correct down to the last detail.
- Support the finance supervisor with month-end closing tasks, bank reconciliations, and basic reporting.
- Keep both paper and digital finance files well organized so they can be retrieved easily for audits and daily reference.
- Spot entry mismatches or inconsistencies and coordinate with the relevant teams to correct them quickly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience; strong fresh graduates with solid academic performance and numerical ability are also encouraged to apply.
- Very strong attention to detail and a consistently high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Basic accounting knowledge and exposure to ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to perform well under supervision and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Candidates already located in the UAE are preferred.
