Java Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to work on a contract basis, contributing to backend development through remote collaboration. This position offers flexible commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week with hourly compensation between $30 and $90.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend systems utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Develop and architect microservices solutions tailored to complex application demands.
• Engage closely with the client’s team to assess technical requirements and produce high-quality, maintainable code.
• Provide expert recommendations to enhance system performance, stability, and security.
• Conduct code reviews and offer actionable feedback aimed at continuous improvement.
• Create clear documentation covering technical workflows and implemented solutions.
• Identify and resolve bugs while optimizing backend operations efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven expertise in Java programming and backend systems development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for creating robust backend applications.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and associated design methodologies.
• Ability to produce clean, efficient, and maintainable codebases.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working effectively within remote teams under fast-paced conditions.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API development, data structures, and backend best practices.

Additional Information

• The position is contract-based and fully remote.
• Incremental pay rate between $30 and $90 per hour depending on expertise and engagement level.
