Janitorial Staff

Role overview

The janitorial team member will help keep the plant and office areas clean, orderly, and safe. This role supports daily housekeeping across production and administrative spaces and may include setup support for meeting rooms.

Key duties

• Carry out routine cleaning in the plant, offices, conference room, restrooms, break room, hallway, and lobby, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning.
• Collect waste and remove trash from offices, restrooms, hallways, and the break room.
• Restock restrooms and the break room with needed supplies.
• Wipe down break room tables, counters, and microwaves.
• Vacuum carpets and perform carpet cleaning as needed.
• Clean eyewash stations and the water/bottle filler station.
• Help prepare meeting rooms before use and restore them afterward.
• Take on other tasks assigned by management.
• Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself and others in the area.

Work setting

This position is based in a manufacturing environment. The work area may involve regular exposure to noise, dust, and different chemicals, so proper personal protective equipment is required, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Physical requirements

The job regularly involves talking, walking, standing for long periods, and hearing. The candidate must be able to reach overhead and outward, climb steps up and down, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and push or pull body weights up to 100 lbs. Repetitive hand use is required, including gripping and fine finger movements. The role also requires 20/20 vision, either natural or corrected.

Schedule and travel

This is a full-time position. Workdays and hours depend on the assigned shift. Weekend work and overtime may be needed based on business requirements. Travel is minimal to none.

Experience and education

A high school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Certificate is preferred.
