Janitorial Cleaner

Role overview

ABM Industries is seeking a dependable Janitorial Cleaner to help keep assigned facilities clean, organized, and sanitary. This position is important for preserving a safe, presentable environment that leaves a positive impression on staff, clients, and visitors.

Key duties

• Carry out regular cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and other surfaces.
• Disinfect washrooms, refill consumables, and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Collect waste from trash and recycling containers and dispose of it according to company guidelines.
• Clean glass areas such as windows and mirrors.
• Keep cleaning tools and supplies properly organized and maintained.
• Escalate repair needs, safety concerns, or low supply levels to the supervisor.
• Support room setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or other special assignments when required.
• Observe all safety procedures and sanitation-related company rules.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior work in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning positions is an advantage.
• Ability to work on your own and manage time well.
• Comfort using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
