Description de l'emploi
Role overview
BLT Europe GmbH is seeking a proactive, adaptable IT Specialist to take charge of everyday technology operations in its Munich office. This is a practical, hands-on position that combines support, administration, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for keeping the office IT environment running smoothly and helping shape the setup as the European business continues to expand.
The role covers infrastructure maintenance, software licence coordination, mobile device administration, employee support, and security-aware system upkeep. You will also work with external vendors when needed and help document and improve internal IT processes.
Core responsibilities
- Keep the office technology stack operating reliably, including desktops, laptops, printers, network hardware, servers, and cloud-based services.
- Oversee network health, including connectivity, performance, and security controls.
- Handle software subscriptions, licence renewals, and communication with vendors.
- Set up, deploy, and maintain company smartphones and mobile device management tools.
- Resolve hardware, software, and end-user technical issues through troubleshooting and support.
- Prepare new hires with the right devices, accounts, and access rights during onboarding.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and identity/access management systems.
- Ensure backups, software updates, patching, and routine maintenance are completed on schedule.
- Apply cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection measures, and access safeguards.
- Liaise with third-party IT providers and service partners as required.
- Maintain documentation for IT procedures, configurations, assets, and support workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, tools, and internal IT processes.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations. You should be comfortable working across both Windows and Mac environments and have practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and common business applications.
Experience with networks, firewalls, routers, Wi-Fi, and endpoint devices is important, along with familiarity with software licence administration and asset tracking. Exposure to mobile device management platforms is preferred. A solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, strong troubleshooting ability, and a service-oriented communication style are also key.
This position suits someone who can work independently, manage several priorities at once, and thrive in a small-company environment. Experience supporting small or mid-sized businesses is a plus, as is a hands-on, flexible approach. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft credentials, or similar are considered advantageous.
