Role Overview
The IT Project Manager will serve as the primary IT representative for new Site Opening initiatives, overseeing critical and high-priority IT projects to successful and timely delivery. This role requires a dedicated leader capable of managing IT responsibilities on-site as well as communicating consolidated progress to senior leadership and steering bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as the exclusive IT contact for all phases of Site Opening projects.
- Coordinate with diverse IT teams including Entertainment Business, Projects/Construction, Applications, Operations & Telecom, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Asset Management, and external vendors.
- Ensure synchronized planning, sequencing, and execution of IT readiness activities at new sites.
- Aggregate all IT workstream inputs and present unified project status reports to Program teams and Steering Committees.
- Prepare and regularly update the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) related to IT scope for each location ensuring alignment with site demands.
- Monitor milestones rigorously, highlight deviations promptly, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity.
- Secure formal approvals at every milestone and project completion from relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct frequent site visits to verify readiness, inspect installations, and resolve issues collaboratively with site and vendor teams.
- Manage critical IT projects by developing detailed plans with business stakeholders and vendors, ensuring accountability for timely action completion.
- Distribute weekly progress updates emphasizing milestones, key activities, and any risks identified.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive risk and issue log, proactively driving escalation and mitigation where necessary.
- Adhere to organizational project management standards and contribute to continuous improvements in site opening protocols and governance.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional stakeholder coordination capabilities across IT functions, business teams, and vendors.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management including planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, and risk handling.
- Experience managing IT scopes for site openings, including BOQ preparation and infrastructure synchronization.
- Strong communication and reporting aptitude to distill multi-team updates into clear executive summaries.
- High accountability with a proactive approach to meet deadlines and drive team performance.
- Capability to handle multiple urgent projects simultaneously under stringent timelines.
- Willingness to undertake regular travel to project sites.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in IT project management with involvement in site rollouts, infrastructure, or large-scale programs.
- Certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are preferable.
- Proven history of collaborating with multidisciplinary IT teams and external vendors/integrators.
Working Conditions
- Mainly office-based with frequent travel to sites for project initiation, assessments, and operational support.
- May require flexible working hours during critical phases or to address urgent issues.
