Overview
As the IT Manager at Gameloft Brisbane, you will oversee and support various teams such as artists, designers, programmers, QA, and administrative personnel, ensuring all their technology systems perform reliably and efficiently. You will lead the IT Support Technicians team, plan and maintain the studio's IT infrastructure, forecast future technology requirements, and implement secure, effective solutions that empower teams to excel. Collaborating closely with both local and global stakeholders, you will manage daily IT operations, execute continuous improvements, coordinate vendors and IT assets, and secure the technology environment amid studio growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the local IT team by setting expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering professional development.
- Deliver technical support addressing hardware, software, and networking challenges faced by users.
- Oversee inventory management for hardware and software, maintain compliance and security of IT resources, and provide necessary reporting.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and security teams globally to promote standardization, operational efficiency, and security best practices.
- Manage software installations, licensing, and deployments.
- Use monitoring tools like Grafana to proactively track infrastructure health and performance.
- Administer virtualization platforms to maximize server and resource efficiency.
- Supervise on-site infrastructure, core IT services, and network operations.
- Communicate regularly with Studio and IT leadership through updates and reports to align with organizational goals.
- Engage in hands-on activities such as hardware deployments, equipment relocations, and shipping duties as needed.
- Partner with studio leadership to influence technology strategy and infrastructure planning supporting long-term objectives.
- Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance, upgrades, and incident responses to minimize operational disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT processes and overall technology user experience within the studio.

Your leadership will result in a high-performing IT team providing dependable support, a secure and efficient technology environment, trusted partnerships with leadership, optimized management of infrastructure and assets, and enabling the creative teams to develop outstanding games.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring technical support teams.
- Strong expertise in Windows server/desktop environments, networking, virtualization, and on-premises infrastructure management.
- Solid experience with IT operations including hardware/software lifecycle, asset and licensing management.
- Thorough understanding of IT security best practices, system monitoring, backup, and business continuity planning.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and customer-focused support capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred but not required:
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 including Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Defender, and Exchange Online.
- Experience creating or maintaining automation scripts in PowerShell.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Grafana.
- Background supporting game development or creative environments.
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft, VMware, or similar.
