Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Engineer to provide proactive, hands-on, and user-focused support. Daily responsibilities vary from assisting partners before key meetings, resolving Mac and iPhone technical problems, troubleshooting audiovisual setups, refining onboarding procedures, managing vendor relationships, documenting systems, to contributing on security and SaaS projects. This position requires a blend of strong technical expertise, emotional intelligence, and a genuine dedication to improving colleagues' work experiences. The position is based onsite in Palo Alto.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent in-person IT support across endpoint devices, SaaS platforms, networking infrastructure, and A/V equipment for all staff levels and guests with promptness and thoroughness
• Manage IT systems and escalated tickets from initial report through resolution, keeping users informed and ensuring issues are prevented from recurring
• Design, implement, maintain, and secure the firm’s IT infrastructure and SaaS ecosystem; participate in security, endpoint management, onboarding, and office technology projects
• Enhance IT operations by documenting systems, developing knowledge bases, automating routine tasks, and improving processes and environments
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with users, external vendors, and internal teams by delivering calm, service-focused assistance while balancing priorities and adapting to evolving needs
• Take initiative to lead projects, mentor colleagues, pursue ongoing learning of new technologies, and elevate the overall IT operation standards

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least six years of experience in client-facing IT support, systems administration, networking, security, and endpoint device management
• Deep technical knowledge of macOS, Windows, iOS, SaaS platforms, networking fundamentals, and audiovisual systems; familiarity with automation and scripting is advantageous
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the capability to identify root causes and implement sustainable, scalable solutions
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills possessing high emotional intelligence; ability to build rapport across executives, technical teams, and diverse user groups
• Service-oriented mindset, humility, organizational ability, capacity to manage competing demands, remain composed under pressure, and ensure thorough resolution of issues
• Willingness for occasional after-hours support for urgent technical problems, executive requirements, office functions, security tasks, or scheduled maintenance, though not a continual on-call duty
