Inventory Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join a leading food and beverage manufacturing company. This position involves handling daily spare parts requests, pricing negotiations, procurement, and managing goods receipts for all spare parts and maintenance supplies in the Engineering stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Source replacement spare parts and negotiate prices with various vendors and suppliers.
• Physically receive and correctly store delivered spare parts on site inventory locations.
• Set up new spare parts materials in SAP, maintain updated material numbers, pricing, and reorder levels.
• Receive, file, and save inventory quotes weekly.
• Process goods issues, new materials entries, and manage master data.
• Coordinate with accounts payable to resolve issues such as blocked invoices and freight charges.
• Manage monthly cycle counts and update inventory systems accordingly.
• Organize weekly return of equipment for repair and refurbishment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a National Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or Business.
• Experience in food production, pharmaceutical, or fast-paced manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Technical understanding of engineering components to effectively liaise with vendors.
• Experience in Engineering stores operations and knowledge of equipment functionality is beneficial.
• Familiarity with SAP, especially modules related to Materials Management and Preventative Maintenance, is preferred.
