Role Overview
A construction management firm is looking to hire an Interior Designer/Space Planner to support a significant relocation project. The role involves delivering comprehensive space planning and interior design services required for moving into a new facility of substantial size.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed space plans including office layouts and workstation arrangements.
- Develop block plans and stacking diagrams to optimize space utilization.
- Compile an inventory list of furniture and equipment scheduled for relocation.
- Integrate user activities into the wider construction schedule to ensure seamless project flow.
- Prepare scope definitions and establish budgets for move-related services, including furniture procurement and IT/AV-related setups.
Requirements
- Must have directly contributed to at least two relocation projects exceeding 100,000 square feet in size over the past six years.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience working on projects for federal agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design is desired.
