Position Summary

The Intensivist role involves delivering thorough medical care to critically ill patients within an on-site ICU in Gwalior. This full-time position requires conducting detailed clinical evaluations, managing ventilatory support, medication prescription and adjustment, and coordinating multidisciplinary treatment strategies. Daily duties include patient rounds, analyzing diagnostic tests, emergency intervention, supervising nursing and allied health professionals, family communication, meticulous documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols. Participation in quality improvement and infection control programs is also essential. The role entails close partnership with pulmonology, anesthesiology, and internal medicine departments to ensure the best clinical results.

Qualifications

• Solid expertise in Medicine and Critical Care, adept at handling complicated cases involving multi-organ failure.
• Proficiency in Pulmonology, specifically ventilator management and treatment of respiratory failure.
• Background or training in Anesthesiology focused on sedation, pain management, and peri-procedural ICU care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with critical care nursing teams to maintain high standards of bedside care.
• Possession of an accredited medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with postgraduate specialization in critical care, internal medicine, pulmonology, or anesthesiology.
• Valid medical license or registration as mandated by local health authorities.
• Competence in emergency procedures, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS certification), and ICU monitoring technology.
• Strong communication skills, sound ethical clinical decision-making, and capacity to handle stress in high-pressure settings.
• Dedication to ongoing professional growth, evidence-based clinical practice, and involvement in audits or research activities.
