About the Role

Join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) in Queensland and play a key role in shaping the state's future as an Intake and Assessment Officer. This position involves conducting intake and evaluations of reported suspected corrupt conduct and public interest disclosures, while providing support for ethical standards matters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake and assessments for suspected corrupt conduct and public interest disclosures in line with legislation, standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Refer relevant cases to the Crime and Corruption Commission ensuring compliance with the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 and departmental procedures.
  • Support management of public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010, following legislative and policy guidelines.
  • Monitor ethical standards cases effectively by managing shared mailboxes, maintaining file systems, and updating case registers.
  • Provide confidential advice and support on ethical concerns, including corrupt conduct, public interest disclosures, and conflicts of interest, while upholding discretion.

  • Experience working within an ethical standards environment addressing employee conduct issues.
  • Strong commitment to supporting the Ethical Standards team.
