Initial Hygiene Technician - Hawke's Bay Region

About the Role

Rentokil Initial is seeking a proactive, hands-on Hygiene Service Technician to join their team serving the Hawke's Bay region, including Napier, Hastings, Waipawa, and Waipukerau. This role focuses on delivering hygiene and cleaning services on-site, with a strong emphasis on autonomy, customer engagement, and variety in daily tasks. Employees are supported with a company vehicle for daily travel. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload the service vehicle to fulfill daily job requirements.
• Carry out cleaning activities in washrooms and public toilets maintaining client standards.
• Supply and restock hygiene items such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap dispensers, sanitizers, sanitary bins, and air fresheners.
• Identify and manage hygiene risks and client concerns to promote cleaner environments.
• Complete thorough service reports documenting the work carried out.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Stay alert to client needs and proactively recommend improvements for service quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Permanent full-time work rights in New Zealand.
• Possession of a full, clean driver's license and clean criminal record.
• Strong communication skills combined with excellent customer service abilities.
• Physically capable with a dedicated focus on health and safety practices.
• Self-driven with effective time management skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and applications.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight away from home if necessary.
• Previous experience in cleaning or hygiene services is advantageous.
