About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned in-house legal professional to join our Legal Affairs team based in Riyadh, which serves as the Group’s regional HQ for the Middle East. Reporting to the Director of Legal Affairs, this role primarily supports Saudi Arabian operations along with projects in Qatar, Oman, and other nearby markets. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, addressing commercial and corporate legal issues, advising on labor law, managing external legal partners, and protecting the company’s legal interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate various commercial agreements such as construction contracts, procurement, service agreements, leases, NDAs, and partnership deals.
• Offer practical legal counsel on commercial, corporate, and contractual matters pertinent to the company’s activities.
• Advise management on labor and employment law to ensure compliance with local labor regulations primarily in Saudi Arabia.
• Facilitate corporate governance, entity structuring, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks connected to projects and business operations.
• Manage and collaborate with outsourced legal service providers and external attorneys throughout the region to secure quality, consistent, and prompt legal support.
• Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, legal correspondence, and corporate documents.
• Keep abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory environment affecting the business.

Qualifications

• Law degree (LL.B.); additional master’s degree or professional qualifications are advantageous.
• At least five years of relevant legal experience, preferably as an in-house or company lawyer.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in commercial law with solid knowledge of corporate, contract, and labor law applicable to the group’s operations.
• Good understanding of the Middle East legal and regulatory landscape, especially Saudi Arabia.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken; fluency in Arabic is highly valued.
• Preference for Saudi nationals.
• Proven track record in managing and coordinating external legal counsel and service providers across multiple countries.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High integrity, sound commercial judgment, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on major development, construction, and investment projects.
