Position Overview
Recruiters On Demand is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager / HR Business Partner to join the leadership team of a growing manufacturing organization located in the Charlotte Metro area. This role provides strategic guidance and operational HR support, focusing on employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business performance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The position demands balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution and includes leadership of an HR Generalist. The role is fully onsite during the workweek.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the main HR Business Partner to site leadership by delivering strategic advice on workforce planning, talent growth, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Promote constructive employee relations covering both hourly and salaried staff by advising leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, compensation, development, and workplace issues.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment concerns.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment legislation and regulations.
- Design, introduce, and communicate effective HR policies and programs aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to plan workforce requirements and recruit professional, manufacturing, and temporary personnel.
- Oversee partnerships with staffing agencies and management of contingent workers.
- Support initiatives involving compensation, benefits, performance management, employee recognition, training, and professional growth.
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and assimilation programs for new employees and leaders to optimize integration.
- Manage the annual evaluation process by coaching leaders on goal formulation, feedback, employee development, and performance enhancement.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to direct HR reports.
- Partner with corporate HR and cross-functional leaders on strategic human resource projects and continuous improvements.
- Engage in special projects and various HR-related initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
- At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum three years in an HR Business Partner or HR Manager role supporting business leaders.
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, or distribution environments is essential.
- Proven track record supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
- Supervisory experience managing HR staff is preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
