About the Team
The People function is an important part of Shopee’s organisation, helping drive essential resources to the teams that support the business. As the company continues to expand, the team’s role in developing, enabling, and supporting employees becomes even more critical.
Role Overview
- Review present and upcoming business requirements and propose fresh initiatives and process improvements that strengthen team goals, productivity, and professional growth.
- Work closely with leaders and line managers to offer guidance and practical solutions across everyday people issues and longer-term organisational planning in areas such as hiring plans, career development, talent management, learning and development, coaching, pay and rewards, employee relations, recognition initiatives, and strategic people planning.
- Maintain strong employee engagement by consistently tracking employee sentiment and workplace pulse.
- Handle HR initiatives that require both operational execution and strategic thinking to deliver high-quality people programs.
- Support and manage employee relations as well as performance-related conversations and challenges in collaboration with the relevant teams and leaders.
- Promote and embed the company’s culture and values across all areas of work.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required; a master’s degree is considered beneficial but is not mandatory.
- At least 3 years of full-time experience in Human Resources, preferably with exposure to one or more of these areas: HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, or Organisational Development.
- Strong strategic judgement with the ability to assess situations quickly and combine business insight with people understanding to make sound decisions.
- Comfortable working at a fast pace while still preserving accuracy and high standards.
- Proactive, cooperative, and effective in a team environment.
