Job Purpose
Ensure assessment and oversight of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) performance according to business requirements, while overseeing the application of the HSSE Management System (MS) to enhance and meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Road Transport (RT), Emergency Response Plans (ERP), and Crisis Management Plans, collaborating with the Company HSSE Manager to test and enforce them.
- Create tailored Emergency Response Plans for Road Transport and Depot Operations, coordinating their drills and execution.
- Guide contractors in developing and maintaining an effective HSSE Management System along with the legal compliance register.
- Supervise adherence to Group HSSE Standards across operations.
- Assist depot teams in formulating and updating HSSE-related operating procedures.
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, documentation, and maintain a system for monitoring remedial action plans.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Management Framework principles.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant work experience post-qualification.
- Robust understanding of Road Transport and Depot operations.
- Familiarity with HSSE best practices and challenges.
- Proven ability to manage change and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government entities.
- Professional training in process safety and risk management is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
