Role Overview
The HR Generalist/Recruiter plays a vital role managing recruitment operations, HR administration, onboarding, performance management, policy enforcement, benefits, SOP handling, employee relations, and organizational support. This dynamic position requires a proactive, organized, and process-focused professional comfortable with enforcing accountability within a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with leadership and department managers to enhance hiring efficiency and operational consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for legal and operational roles, including coordinating job postings, managing candidate pipelines, interviews, background checks, and offers.
- Enhance recruiting speed and effectiveness by maintaining scorecards and tracking systems, and provide weekly reports to leadership.
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, administer HR policies, maintain employee records, coordinate benefits and attendance, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Support employee relations, including performance and disciplinary documentation, leave coordination, employment verifications, and general HR administrative tasks.
- Manage performance review cycles, tracking KPIs, attendance, and evaluation completion; assist leadership with performance improvement and accountability procedures.
- Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, training materials, and onboarding programs to improve organizational consistency and compliance.
- Facilitate communication and implementation of updated policies, monitor internal compliance, and drive continuous process enhancements across departments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling HR operations, recruiting, and employee lifecycle management.
- Preferred background in professional services, law firms, healthcare, consulting, or other fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with HR and payroll systems, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project/task management tools.
- Experience operating within KPI-driven and process-focused work settings.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and adept multitasking skills.
- Proactive ownership mindset and ability to enforce deadlines and policies independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing confidential employee matters professionally.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in conflict management and operational issues.
Performance Indicators
- Recruitment KPIs including time to fill, interview to offer conversion, offer acceptance, and 90-day retention rates.
- Completion and accuracy of onboarding, personnel files, HR documentation, and benefits enrollment.
- Management of performance reviews, attendance tracking, evaluation compliance, and corrective action documentation.
- Effectiveness of SOP updates, training completion, policy adherence, and operational audits.
