Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented HR professional to join our New Zealand team as a Human Resources Business Partner. Based in Manurewa and reporting to the NZ HR Manager, this position involves collaborating with leaders nationwide to support diverse people-focused initiatives throughout the employee life cycle. Your responsibilities will include advising on performance and talent management, driving engagement initiatives, and managing organizational change.

The role is dynamic, combining strategic business partnering with operational execution. You will closely engage with leadership on workforce matters, support HR projects, enhance policies and processes, and foster a positive experience for employees. Additionally, you will oversee HR systems, facilitate accurate reporting, ensure compliance, and maintain efficient and effective people operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership across New Zealand, offering practical HR guidance and assistance.
  • Coach managers regarding performance, employee development, and employee relations.
  • Support initiatives related to talent management, succession planning, engagement, and capability development.
  • Participate in HR projects, business improvements, and organizational change efforts.
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and employee records.
  • Manage HR information systems ensuring data integrity.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisor or related HR role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand employment law and best HR practices.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems, preferably Workday.
  • Excellent skills in time management, organization, and prioritization.
  • Strong administrative skills with great attention to detail.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with an ownership mindset.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Flexible, solution-oriented, and adaptable approach.
