Role Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role involves collaborating with business leadership to design and execute people-centered strategies that foster business success, boost employee engagement, and enhance organisational effectiveness. Positioned within a dynamic manufacturing setting, the HRBP offers both strategic and hands-on HR support across various domains such as employee relations, talent management, organisational development, workforce planning, performance management, change initiatives, and engagement efforts.
The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor and coach for leaders, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, legal compliance, and adherence to company values, all while driving business goals. The role also uses HR data and analytics to recognize trends and develop solutions that improve organisational capability and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business heads to understand priorities and create aligned people strategies and workforce plans.
- Provide strategic HR advice and implement solutions supporting organisational performance.
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to guide decision-making and identify workforce trends.
- Offer coaching and guidance to leadership to improve team effectiveness and manage people-related challenges.
- Support leaders in developing capabilities and navigating organisational change.
- Deliver expert support in employee relations, handling disciplinary issues, grievances, performance management, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution with fairness and compliance.
- Drive positive employee relations and recommend interventions to mitigate risks and boost experience.
- Partner on talent planning, succession development, recruitment, performance management, and career growth initiatives.
- Champion company culture, values, and employee engagement including inclusion and retention programs.
- Lead and assist in change management projects to ensure smooth business transitions.
- Maintain HR operations such as performance review cycles, compensation, workforce planning, and data accuracy while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Lead HR projects, continuous improvements, training, and people management workshops.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- CIPD certification or equivalent professional HR qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Proven practical experience supporting leadership in fast-paced environments, particularly in employee relations, coaching, change management, and engagement.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent organisational abilities to manage competing priorities efficiently.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and confidentiality.
