Job Overview
The Human Resource Associate Partner supports the management team by handling various administrative duties and ongoing operational functions within the HR domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve system flags and evaluate attendance points for unexcused absences among associates.
- Gather and organize leave requests from managers and employees, obtaining necessary managerial approvals for vacations.
- Ensure accurate categorization of paid and unpaid time off codes such as Vacation, Paid Personal Time, Voluntary Time Off, and Lack of Work.
- Make attendance point corrections for staffing agency personnel as directed by Amazon Human Resources.
- Adjust points for Amazon associates based on inputs from site leadership or HR.
- Identify, monitor, and reconcile missing punch times including arrivals, departures, and lunch breaks.
- Clear Time Off Task discrepancies upon manager authorization.
- Record orientation punch times for new staffing agency hires.
- Input disciplinary documentation into the Amazon GAPS system.
- Review counseling history to verify appropriate counseling levels and schedules or provide performance summaries to assist managerial decisions regarding termination.
- Submit and track counseling documentation for both Amazon and staffing agency employees, including printing materials for managers to deliver.
- Compile and organize all attendance-related counseling documents for managerial use.
- Display and update associates' performance rates during shifts on a scheduled basis.
- Respond to associate queries regarding attendance points and leave balances; escalate and resolve discrepancies with HR support.
- Additional tasks may include assisting in safety and dock audits, typing and publishing audit reports for managers.
- Support managers with production and operations report management and contribute to projects involving report creation and updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in human resources.
- At least 6 months experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Over one year of experience in the HR field.
