Role overview
Potters Health Care is recruiting Home Care Workers for assignments across various locations in Stirling, Western Australia. The role involves delivering practical support and personal assistance to people in their own homes, with some live-in care coverage included. You will help clients remain comfortable, safe, and supported in day-to-day life while working as part of a wider care team.
Key duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, washing, and showering.
- Prepare meals within the client’s home and support day-to-day domestic care needs.
- Ensure medication is provided promptly and appropriately.
- Support clients to take part in community activities, including shopping and social outings.
- Deliver social support in the home at any time of day, including live-in care arrangements.
- Take charge of the shift and remain accountable while on duty.
- Work with other professional staff to follow and implement care plans.
Skills and experience
Applicants should ideally have prior experience in social care, although full training will be provided. Strong verbal and written English communication is required. The employer is looking for candidates who hold SVQ2, HNC in Health and Social Care, are working towards one of these qualifications, or have an equivalent background.
Essential requirements
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car are mandatory.
- Proof of the legal right to work in the UK must be provided.
- Successful candidates must complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application.
- Applicants must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
