About the Role
Join Ampcontrol and contribute to a company leading the global energy transformation for over 55 years. As part of a collaborative team, you will engage with various operational and corporate departments across multiple locations, including occasional interstate travel, gaining valuable cross-site experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate occupational hygiene, health monitoring, and injury prevention efforts such as manual handling assessments and task analyses.
- Track and evaluate the success of health, wellbeing, and injury prevention initiatives, identifying enhancement opportunities and risk reduction measures.
- Organize workplace health programs including Drug and Alcohol policies, vaccination drives, Mental Health First Aid, Resilience First Aid, and other promotional activities.
- Support and coordinate the Live & Work Better initiatives and awards program.
- Oversee the Peer Support Network by managing recruitment, training, engagement, communication, and assessing program effectiveness.
- Design and deliver health, wellbeing, and psychosocial awareness training and communication materials.
- Assist in psychosocial risk management by facilitating action plans, raising awareness about workplace risks, and promoting leadership and employee tools and resources.
- Provide support for injury management and return to work programs.
- Offer local Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) assistance to the Head Office and external sites, contributing to compliance, contractor oversight, and ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with employees, managers, and external providers to achieve positive health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and confident engaging with all levels within the organization. Experience and skills include:
- At least 3 years in Occupational Health, Health & Wellbeing, HSEQ coordination, or a similar capacity.
- Knowledge of occupational hygiene, workplace health, and wellbeing principles.
- Understanding of psychosocial risk management is a significant asset.
- Experience managing programs, service providers, or business initiatives.
- Ability to create and facilitate training workshops, toolbox talks, or awareness sessions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and fostering productive work relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and business software systems.
- Possession of a current driver's licence.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing, mining, engineering, construction, or operational industries.
