Role overview
An established Irish retail and FMCG group is looking for a seasoned Head of Warehousing to take the lead on its logistics function and help shape its next stage of growth. This is a senior leadership position with direct reporting to the CEO and oversight of warehousing, inventory control, transportation, fulfilment, and wider supply chain activity across a national store network and an expanding ecommerce business.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, developing capable teams, refining ways of working, and raising performance standards across the board.
Key focus areas
- Running warehouse operations and managing inventory effectively
- Improving omnichannel fulfilment and logistics performance
- Advancing WMS capabilities, automation, and system integration
- Owning budgeting, cost management, and P&L oversight
- Leading, coaching, and developing the team’s skills and capability
- Maintaining health and safety, compliance, and operational standards
- Driving continuous improvement and wider transformation initiatives
Candidate profile
The business is seeking someone with substantial experience across warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations, alongside a strong leadership background. The right person will bring a mix of operational depth, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Experience required
- 8–9 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations
- 5 or more years in a senior management or leadership position
- Experience managing and motivating high-performing teams
- A history of delivering process improvements and change programmes
- Commercial understanding with exposure to budgeting and P&L responsibility
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Retail, FMCG, or omnichannel background preferred
