Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Risk to lead and advance the enterprise risk management strategy within the organization. This includes establishing a clear risk appetite framework and promoting an effective risk culture aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management strategies, including defining and integrating risk appetite frameworks throughout the business.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders to offer commercially informed risk guidance that balances regulatory demands with business growth and innovation.
- Foster a proactive risk culture that encourages informed decision-making, financial stability, and sustainable business development.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive risk reports and governance documentation to executive committees, boards, and risk forums.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with regulators and supervisory authorities, facilitating regulatory interactions and inspections as needed.
- Create and facilitate risk management training programs aimed at strengthening organizational knowledge and capacity.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk awareness campaigns, reinforcing governance policies, ethical standards, and ongoing enhancements.
- Stay updated on emerging regulatory changes and risk trends, advising leadership on potential consequences and strategies.
- Maintain an effective financial and enterprise risk framework supported by appropriate policies, controls, and governance mechanisms.
- Work with Finance teams to manage prudential and capital risk, including involvement in regulatory reporting, stress testing, scenario planning, recovery initiatives, and optimizing capital structure.
- Offer strategic risk consultation for business transformation projects and other special assignments.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive management by simplifying complex risk matters into actionable commercial advice.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the risk team, ensuring adequate staffing, succession planning, and skill enhancement.
