Role Overview
The Head of Renewals Sales for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region will lead the renewal sales team to secure and expand recurring revenue through exceptional customer retention and acquisition efforts. This position involves overseeing both assigned and unassigned accounts while directly managing sales professionals and a Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. Key responsibilities include delivering growth targets, driving customer engagement throughout the renewal lifecycle, fostering strong partner relationships, and ensuring operational excellence in renewals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire APAC renewals business, ensuring achievement of renewal rates, gross revenue retention (GRR), forecast accuracy, and quarterly business targets.
- Lead renewal sales motions across assigned, unassigned, partner-led, and distributor channels.
- Drive proactive engagement with customers to maximize retention and identify expansion opportunities.
- Conduct forecast reviews, business updates, risk assessments, and deal inspections.
- Collaborate closely with APAC Sales Leadership to enhance customer retention and minimize annual recurring revenue (ARR) leakage.
- Oversee MSP performance on unassigned renewals, establishing governance, operating models, and performance scorecards.
- Drive continuous improvement in renewal processes, forecasting, coverage models, and customer experience.
- Serve as the main executive liaison between Check Point and the MSP partner.
- Promote alignment between assigned and unassigned renewal strategies for a seamless customer and field experience.
- Implement a proactive risk management culture with executive visibility on high-risk renewal opportunities.
- Leverage data, analytics, and AI-driven insights to identify retention risks early and enhance renewal predictability and consistency.
- Build trusted partnerships with sales and channel leaders across APAC, establishing renewals as a key business function.
- Develop and execute channel and distributor renewal strategies to improve retention and operational excellence.
- Transform the renewal organization by fostering a culture of accountability, coaching and developing talent, simplifying processes, and adopting modern automation technologies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience, including 3 to 5 years in leadership roles within renewal or subscription-driven sales environments.
- Strong customer orientation with the proven ability to develop lasting client relationships.
- Experience working within diverse, international, and matrixed environments partnered with cultural sensitivity.
- A history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and building high-performing, diverse sales teams.
- Preferably some knowledge of security fundamentals, cloud, and network architecture is beneficial.
