Head of Performance

Role Overview

This senior leadership position is central to driving the organisation's performance improvements, transformation initiatives, and scalable delivery outcomes. The individual will act as a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer to sustain advancement in operational, clinical, and financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level guidance and leadership for performance management, corporate delivery, and transformation projects.
• Establish and nurture a culture focused on high performance and lead complex improvement programs.
• Ensure adherence to national standards, regulatory frameworks, and organisational priorities.
• Operate with significant autonomy, influencing at both Board and system levels.
• Utilise insight, analysis, and innovation to shape long-term organisational strategy.
• Contribute actively to corporate strategy, governance, and decision-making as a senior organisational leader.
• Lead organisational responses to regulatory demands and manage external assurance processes.
• Support collaborative working across University Hospitals Tees, which encompasses South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, with possible work duties spanning multiple sites.
