Head of Operations

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned operations leader to run and improve day-to-day activities for a business focused on pre-owned apparel and footwear. The position carries end-to-end responsibility for warehouse workflow, logistics coordination, team supervision, and efficient movement of goods from intake to final dispatch.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong operations background, proven people management capability, and direct familiarity with textile shredding equipment and warehouse processes.

Compensation

Monthly salary offered: AED 20,000 to AED 25,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all operational functions across the facility.
• Manage loading and unloading activities with a focus on safety, speed, and accuracy.
• Control the product grading workflow while maintaining consistent quality standards.
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with partners and customers.
• Interpret partner expectations and align internal processes accordingly.
• Work closely with the logistics team to ensure goods move on schedule.
• Lead a sizable blue-collar workforce, including planning, supervision, and performance oversight.
• Track operational KPIs and introduce improvements that raise productivity.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and internal operational policies.
• Support cost-effective operations while continuously improving performance.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in operations leadership, ideally in second-hand clothing, footwear, textile recycling, garment manufacturing, or warehouse settings.
• Solid background in warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and inventory movement.
• Strong exposure to product grading and quality control practices.
• Practical, mandatory experience working with textile shredding machinery.
• Experience leading large blue-collar teams in warehouse or industrial environments.
• Well-developed leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate smoothly with logistics and other cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Background

• Work experience in second-hand clothing or footwear operations.
• Exposure to textile recycling or garment processing environments.
• Background in warehouse and distribution management.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing settings.
