Position Overview
Our client located in Listowel, County Kerry is seeking a Head of Information Technology to spearhead the provision of secure, dependable, and business-centric IT services. This senior leadership position involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and driving technology transformation to ensure IT effectively supports organisational objectives while fostering continuous innovation. This is a permanent, full-time role based on-site in Listowel, County Kerry.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the IT strategy ensuring technology expenditures align with the company's business priorities.
- Supervise relationships with outsourced IT service providers to guarantee adherence to contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
- Lead IT capital projects including office expansions, infrastructure enhancements, and technology upgrade initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Oversee deployment, optimisation, and governance of ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Manage and develop Field Technicians and support personnel to deliver efficient onsite and nationwide services.
- Track and analyze IT performance metrics to promote ongoing service improvements.
- Direct incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess technology needs and implement innovative solutions.
- Control IT budget, procurement activities, vendor contracts, and partnerships.
- Maintain robust cybersecurity protocols, risk management, compliance measures, and business continuity plans.
- Drive infrastructure, application, and digital transformation projects.
- Mentor team members encouraging accountability, exemplary customer service, and professional growth.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
- Between eight and ten years of experience in IT, including three to five years in senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing outsourced IT providers and enterprise service platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Strong expertise in ITIL standards and service management methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, cybersecurity, enterprise-level infrastructure, and operating in regulated environments.
- Professional certifications including ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile methodologies.
- Proven skills in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and budget oversight.
