Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of HR based in Singapore to lead comprehensive human resources functions for a large-scale, blue-collar workforce-centric organization. This full-time, permanent position requires on-site presence five days a week and involves partnering closely with country management to advance people-focused initiatives across frontline operations, multiple sites, and corporate areas.
Key Responsibilities
The HR leader will manage all aspects of HR for approximately 2,000 employees, primarily blue-collar staff distributed across several operational locations. Serving as a strategic advisor to senior management, the role encompasses strategic workforce planning, talent development, succession management, employee engagement, industrial relations, organizational effectiveness, and culture building. Operational execution duties include recruitment oversight, performance management, compensation administration, manpower planning, regulatory compliance, and full employee lifecycle management. Maintaining positive labor relations and handling complex workforce issues within a labor-intensive environment is critical, alongside ensuring adherence to Singapore’s employment laws.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates bring at least 15 years of progressively responsible HR experience, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, transportation, construction, or similar blue-collar workforce environments. Proven leadership managing large employee groups across multiple sites, with strong operational and strategic HR capabilities, is essential. The successful executive will exhibit a history of effective collaboration with business leadership in dynamic operational contexts and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on delivery.
