Head of Flight Training

Role overview

This position leads flight training activities for pilots and HEMS Technical Crew in the Greater Munich area. The role combines hands-on training delivery with the ongoing refinement of programs, materials, and standards to support safe and compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver training for pilots and HEMS Technical Crew.
• Improve existing training programs using feedback and performance indicators.
• Ensure all training aligns with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Create, maintain, and continuously optimize training materials and learning concepts.
• Deliver training in an operational environment.
• Teach safety-critical content and build practical decision-making capability.

Qualifications

• Meets the requirements set out in EU Regulation 965/2012 (ORO.AOC.135.a).
• Valid ATPL(H) license under Part-FCL with FI(H) or TRI(H).
• Examining authority as TRE(H) for the relevant type(s).
• At least 2,000 total flight hours and experience as an instructor.
• Experience with night flying and NVG operations.

Compensation

The gross annual salary depends on experience, qualifications, and expectations, and is set between EUR 170,000 and EUR 200,000.
